Blazers upset Mapua, 70-67
College of Saint Benilde played its best game so far and caught Mapua napping for a 70-67 win, its first after three tries. The Blazers stayed close with the Cardinals throughout the contest and grabbed a three-point lead with two seconds to go on a split by Jan Tan from the line. -
Bombers halt 2-game slide
Jose Rizal University clamped down on Emilio Aguinaldo College's top guns, while dropping bombs from all over to prevail, 76-60, Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Byron Villarias had 12 points, Lopez added 11 and Raycon Kabigting chipped in 10 for the Heavy Bombers, who posted their first win after three tries. -
Lions devour Pirates
Defending champion San Beda roared into its second win by sending erstwhile co-leader Lyceum crashing back to earth with an easy 89-69 win. The Mendiola-based cagers led from start to finish but had to endure some anxious moments in the second half, as the Pirates fought hard on both ends of the floor.
